When the lines between the ordinary and the magical blur, what does it really mean to belong? Tune in for an inspiring discussion with Linda Drattell on her new novel The Peccadilloes of Filamena Phipps.
Linda Drattell is an award-winning poet and writer who splits her time between Boulder, Colorado and Barcelona. Her poems have been published in online magazines and in print with various anthologies and literary magazines. Learning to turn adversity into creative power, her two poetry collections published by Finishing Line Press, Remember This Day (winner of the Bronze award from the 2023 Reader Views Choice Awards) and The Lighter Side of Horse Manure, showcase her wit and resilience, offering readers an uplifting and refreshingly honest take on life’s challenges. She writes of aging gracefully and with dignity and maintaining one’s sense of humor; her aging horse and goats are the muses for many of her poems. Caught in the middle of a terror attack along with her husband in 2016 in Nice, France, writing played an important role in helping her process that event’s impact on her life. Writing also helped her deal with the trauma of becoming deaf in her thirties; she relearned how to navigate social, professional, and family relationships, and chronicled this process in newsletters and magazine articles. https://lindadrattell.com
